Five minerals that transform under ultraviolet light: willemite (intense green fluorescence — 90% of known willemite comes from Franklin, New Jersey), calcite (pink to orange), scheelite (blue-white), fluorite (variable colors), and hyalite opal (neon green). Includes a short-wave UV lamp. Turn off the lights: a different world appears.
This specimen originates from Global, one of the world’s most significant localities for this type of material. Collectors and scientists have drawn from this region for generations, and for good reason: the combination of geological conditions here produces specimens of exceptional quality and clarity.
