Description

Science and beauty are rarely in conflict. Here they converge. Carcharodontosaurus — ‘shark-toothed lizard’ — was one of the largest theropod dinosaurs, rivaling T. rex in body size. Its blade-like serrated teeth, up to 8 centimeters long, could slice through flesh with a lateral shaking motion. This specimen from Morocco’s Late Cretaceous Kem Kem Formation is 95 million years old.

This specimen originates from Kem Kem Formation, Morocco, one of the world’s most significant localities for this type of material.
